Compositions that paint an afro-cuban face with a transplanted american smile that only finds home in a jaded heart. 1,000 Fuegos presents ancestral sounds entombed by the filter of today’s modern pop perspective. All the way from Hialeah, FL - a concrete melting pot of cultures spanning from the Caribbean, South and Central America and the US- this music transcends our modern concept of diversity.
Currently residing in Portland (OR), this firey movement continues to gather local strength and support through regular performances for more than a year and will be releasing their first official EP in December (2011) including recordings from Miami *Phat Flow ( and Portland. With this EP, 1000 Fuegos will expand by performing throughout the NW and California. Recordings for a full-release begin in late October for a release in March of next year.

The Personal Legend

The Personal Legend
Ibere and Luciano met at a Brazilian rooftop party in the summer of 2002. This is where Luciano and Ibere became friends, and the saga began. 2 months later they were both spotted at the same party and were told to jam together. Luciano grabbed his guitar and Ibere let the vocals flow. Everyone began to sing and dance, the good vibes ignited the torch, and The Personal Legend was born. As time passed by, now living in an apartment together in Brazil, they both discussed moving to The States to pursue their dreams. Their apartment had a home studio, where they rehearsed in English and Portuguese, while creating demo songs. At that time they were known as Eclepnopcia.
After two years of intense studio time they both decided to take the journey of a lifetime. They both arrived at the Miami International Airport September 13th, 2007. Fortunately Ibere's father had a music studio in Pompano Beach. This made the creating process much easier for the both of them. After playing at warehouses and local parties they decided to move to Miami Beach. They started to play on the streets and at open mic nights. The bands name "Eclepnopcia" wasn't sticking well with the fans, so after reading "The Alchemist" they were entitled to call themselves The Personal Legend. Then in March 2011 they released their first single "No Blame" and then in April, "Life on Fire." Today the band is unsigned and about to release their first full length album. It is set to be released in January 2012.
